About
Rico Lau Ching Hei graduated from the Fine Arts department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2021. Lau takes sketching and painting as the main creative media. His practices focus on the linear representation of human bodies and how signs function within and outside the images. Through blurred, distorted, and restless portraits, he hopes to share the truth with people. His works have been exhibited in Gallery EXIT, Eaton Hotel HK, 1a Space, SC Gallery, arthomehk, WURE AREA, Grotto SKW, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Aco Bookstore, and Hong Kong City Hall. Lau also tried to write about different exhibitions or works, and his articles have been published on the websites of Aco Bookstore, Paratext and Stand News.
